Tools Of Balance

Reiki: A Japanese relaxation technique that promotes healing through energy. Reiki means "guided life force energy", which like water are both in and among us. Reiki supports shifting your energy into balance. The practitioner will place their hands lightly on or over the body and activate a natural healing process that restores physical & emotional wellbeing.

Reiki originated from Japan over 100 years ago. this practice has been adopted by 70 plus hospitals, medical clinics and hospice programs as a standard part of health care. Reiki has been studied as a healing method for  pain, depression, anxiety, fatigue as well as increase relaxation of the mind and body. Reiki has been used in hospitals across the world for decades.

Vibrational Medicine/Sound Energy Healing:  Sound energy is produced when objects vibrate, that vibration creates a energy which transfers into sound waves. These soundwaves produce nerve impulses which the brain interprets. In a Sound Healing/Vibrational Medicine treatment, you experience the vibrations from the human voice, natural sounds, as well as objects that resonate.  Objects that resonate provide a natural frequency  that can be heard & felt.

Tools that provide natural frequencies includes, but are not limited to: tuning forks, gong, Tibetan Singing Bowls, Crystal Singing Bowls, Drums, Humming, Chanting. From humming, drumming to the Tibetan singing bowl, certain rhythms, sounds and vibrations can help us resist and recover from a variety of ailment. Vibrational Medicine promotes lowered heart rate, relaxed brainwave patterns and reduction in respiratory rates.

Therapeutic Touch: Therapeutic touch is an ancient healing technique that requires the practitioner to lightly place their hands in a series of positions over the body.  these gentle touches promote inner dialogue, reflection, stress reduction, relaxation and self-awareness.  these compassionate touches activates the relaxation response and supports the body in achieving a deep state of relaxation which promotes healing.

EMDR: eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is an integrative psychotherapy approach that has been extensively researched and proven effective for the treatment of trauma. EMDR is a set of standardized protocols that incorporates elements from many different treatment approaches. To date, EMDR therapy has helped millions of people of all ages relieve many types of psychological stress.

EMDR utilizes a three pronged protocol (1-past memories, 2-present disturbance, 3-future actions), and are needed to alleviate the symptoms and address the complete clinical picture. The goal of EMDR therapy is to process completely the experiences that are causing problems, and to include new ones that are needed for full health. "Processing" does not mean talking about it. "Processing" means setting up a learning state that will allow experiences that are causing problems to be "digested" and stored appropriately in your brain. That means that what is useful to you from an experience will be learned, and stored with appropriate emotions in your brain, and be able to guide you in positive ways in the future. The inappropriate emotions, beliefs, and body sensations will be discarded. Negative emotions, feelings and behaviors are generally caused by unresolved earlier experiences that are pushing you in the wrong directions. The goal of EMDR therapy is to leave you with the emotions, understanding, and perspectives that will lead to healthy and useful behaviors and interactions.
